When I received this canvas I knew I needed something epic to even think about using it, and this was before the beginning of my adaptation of Jackson Pollock's style. I tried something, but it sure as hell didn't work, but as I looked at some of his paintings I saw a few where he didn't use much paint and it looked pretty good so I threw that in to an idea box inside my head and went on. Then one day I thought about doing a painting of a faded brick wall.... I had it all there at that moment.
I painted most of the canvas at first with a stone blue color. Then while it was still wet I used the lifting out technique from watercolor painting to create the brick wall. Now I'm lazy, so I didn't do a few areas, but as you can see it works to my advantage to create a frosted window feel, and my friend confirmed this. So I thusly named it "Through Frosted Windows.
This will be for sale at Art in The Park for $300, as it is huge and my favorite piece.
interesting job, it actually reminds me of branches of a tree under the moonlight, but nevertheless, your use of blues and greys makes a very interesting composition
I think this piece of yours is good, kind of pity that your selling it : p. But that's fine art, it seems to me like something that would fit a t-shirt design, or a jeans design.
